Managed projects are assignments where every hour performed on a project is billed to our customer.
Sometimes it is not possible to work in fixed price mode; whenever scope is unclear, completing projects in managed mode can be an efficient solution.
More expensive than fixed price?
Contrary to what one might think, a managed project does not have to cost more than a fixed price project. Allthough there is no pressure on the supplier because of a greatly reduced financial risk, this should not make any difference.

Project tracking ...
... is of extreme importance. The only way a customer will feel comfortable with 'managed' project mode is when he knows that he has a 100% insight into project progress.
